Energy API provides API services for energy commodity price data, including:
- Natural gas prices (TTF, Henry Hub)
- Electricity day-ahead spot prices (OMIE Spain & Portugal)
- Crude oil benchmarks (Brent, WTI)
- Carbon emission allowances (EUA), historical timeseries, and related endpoints
- Related documentation, tools, and support services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time, with or without notice.
3. Account Registration and Security
3.1 Registration
To access certain Services, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to:
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of your API keys and credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Not share your API keys or account credentials with third parties
3.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in any fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal, fraudulent, or unauthorized purpose
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, networks, or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers connected to the Services
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without authorization
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of our Services
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Services

6. Payment Terms and Billing

8. Data and Privacy
Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you submit through our APIs complies with applicable laws and does not infringe upon third-party rights.
9. Disclaimers and Warranties
9.1 Service Availability
While we strive to provide reliable Services, we do not guarantee that our Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen circumstances.
9.2 Data Accuracy
We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of data provided through our APIs; however, we do not warrant that all data will be completely accurate, complete, or up-to-date. Market and policy-rate data may change, and we rely on third-party sources for information.
9.3 No Warranties
OUR SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES of MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ENERGY API, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE OUR SERVICES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Energy API and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of or relating to:
- Your use or misuse of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Any data or content you submit through the Services
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Termination will be effective at the end of your current billing period, unless immediate termination is requested.
12.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services immediately, without prior notice, if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Engage in fraudulent, illegal, or harmful activities
- Fail to pay required fees
- Breach any applicable laws or regulations
12.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. All data associated with your account may be deleted. You remain responsible for any fees incurred prior to termination.
13. Changes to Terms

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
15.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, or failures of third-party services.
